While conventional forms of heating, such as bar heaters and fan/ heating units do manage to increase the bathroom temperature, they do so unevenly, creating uncomfortable and intense hot spots whilst leaving other areas of the room quite cold.

Electric under tile floor heating is an efficient form of heating that can be taken advantage of when renovating your bathroom. This form of heating offers many advantages when compared to traditional heating. It creates a gentle, even heat that removes the cold winter chill from your bathroom floor tiles. This heat radiates from the floor warming the entire room. Also known as on demand tile heating because the heating is delivered when and where it is required.

Under tile floor heating

Under tile floor heating.

Traditional forms of heating work by heating the air in close proximity to the unit. This warm air rises to the top of the room, losing heat through the ceiling and windows, before it cools and falls to a height where the remaining heat can be felt.

Under tile floor heating is incredibly energy efficient by using radiant heat that warms the entire floor area, heating the room from the floor up, warming the entire room as the heat rises.

Electric under tile floor heating is perfect for allergy sufferers and is incredibly low maintenance as it doesn’t use any fans or elements. It is completely silent and is installed with a simple on/ off switch with a thermostat, so you can set the temperature and have it run automatically or choose to run manually.

Electric floor heating is perfect for bathrooms, ensuites, laundries and works with marble, stone and all varieties of ceramic and porcelain tile.

Using electric floor heating also helps to prevent mould by drying out the bathroom floor and shower base.
