This stunning ensuite renovation we completed in the Hills District cleverly uses every inch of space available for storage without overcrowding the room in what is normally considered a small and cramped space. This is achieved with a beautiful custom made vanity with timber cabinet drawers and Caesarstone benchtop and a custom made recessed mirrored shaving cabinet. See our blog post Bathroom Storage Ideas for more ways to add storage to your bathroom.
Ensuite bathrooms are often quite small and leave very little space for storage. When choosing a vanity for an ensuite renovation, care needs to be taken to not select a one that will provide enough storage without cramping the room. Mirrored shaving cabinets are a fantastic way to add valuable storage space and can be purchased with matching vanities. See our blog post Be smart with your bathroom mirror for more ideas for your bathroom mirror.
The most advantageous storage for ensuite bathrooms is to have a custom made vanity and shaving cabinet. A custom made vanity is made to perfectly suit your ensuite bathroom space and preferences. You choose how many drawers, cabinets, their depth, single or double bowl etc. A custom made shaving cabinet is made to not only match the vanity but it can be perfectly recessed into the wall cavity to be so seamless that it appears to be a mirror alone and does not crowd the basin area.
The customers chose a white herringbone tile for the splashback to create a feature in the vanity area. Lighting was not forgotten in this ensuite. Above mirror lighting provides the perfect illumination for shaving and makeup application and under cabinet lights provides a soft lighting for middle of the night bathroom visits without disturbing a sleeping partner. The wall mounted chrome tap and mixer keep the vanity benchtop clear and clean, adding to the appearance of space. See our blog post Lighting option for your bathroom for more lighting ideas.
White 300 x 600mm wall tiles were used throughout the bathroom with a 300 x 600 neutral colour tile was laid on the floor. Using white on the walls creates the appearance of space while the white herringbone feature tile adds texture and character. See our blog post Creating a Feature in your Bathroom to learn how to add character to the bathroom without breaking the bank.
The customers chose an in-wall cistern which again adds to the appearance of space by avoiding a bulky cistern.
The shower recess features a beautiful chrome rail shower with a rainfall shower head, adjustable hand held shower rose, shower niche with herringbone tile, wall mixer, linear shower grate and a frameless shower screen with chrome hardware.
All accessories are in chrome to match the chrome tapware.
