Project: Glenwood Kitchen Renovation
A stunning finish to our Glenwood kitchen renovation project. The original kitchen area was quite small. The owners wanted to not only renovate the kitchen, but also make it larger by incorporating area from the small downstairs study.
We removed the wall between the study and existing kitchen and replaced the sliding door from the study with a window, a perfect position for the kitchen sink area.

The customers chose a timeless and contemporary white and neutral colour scheme for the kitchen that follows a G shape layout. The G shape layout provides maximum storage and bench space.
White flat panel cabinets and drawers all with soft close mechanisms provide an abundance of storage space including a large pantry, glass wall cabinet and corner glass cabinet with feature lighting that add character to the kitchen. White kickboards finish the base cabinets and blend in with the white floor tile. Bulkheads were built to close the gap between the wall cabinets and ceiling and finished with a cornice to create a sleek built in effect and avoids dust collecting on top of cupboards.
Engineered stone benchtops complete with a waterfall finish to the peninsula island and matching stone splashback in Quantum Quartz Ash Grey are a major feature in this kitchen. The under cabinet lighting we installed accentuates the beauty of this stone splashback and provides a feature lighting that serves a practical purpose by providing extra lighting where there is typically a shadow when preparing and cooking food.

The peninsula island not only creates more working bench space and cabinets, but also provides an informal eating area. Cabinets were installed on both sides of the peninsula island to take advantage of as much storage space as possible. The island is complimented by a striking black triple pendant ceiling light that we installed.
Stainless steel appliances are a timeless choice and work perfectly in this kitchen. The Smeg 90cm free standing gas cooker with 6 burners deserves a special mention. It certainly makes a statement and provides the ideal cooking conditions for even the biggest of entertainers.
The sink is a flush mount brushed stainless steel double sink complete with chopping board and drainage basket, is situated under the window in perfect proximity to the stainless steel dishwasher to make cleaning up a breeze. The sleek designed mixer tap is tall enough to wash even the largest pots and serving dishes.
